The Clyde Public Library is announcing new policies with its re-opening. The library is planning to reopen to the public on June 9th at 10:00 am. They will be limiting the number of patrons in the library at one time and visits will be limited to 60 minutes or less. This policy will allow as many patrons as possible to visit each day. There will be no in-house programs offered at this time and the summer reading program will be done virtually beginning June 2nd.
The computer lab will be limited to 2 people at a time and reservations will be taken for those slots. Time limit of 60 minutes per person will be enforced.
There will be a sign-in sheet at the front desk for all patrons and visitors, and in the children’s library there will be a limit of 1 family unit at a time or one person at a time.
Throughout the library, as you browse through the stacks, the library requests that as you pull an item off the shelf for examination, that item should then be placed in boxes (bins) provided at the end of each aisle. Each item placed in the bin will then be disinfected before being place back on the shelves. As books are returned to the library they will also be disinfected and quarantined for 48 hours prior to being re-shelved. Keyboards, desks, chairs, and all surfaces will be cleaned throughout the day as will door handles and restrooms.
Checkout will be limited to 1 DVD per patron card and 2 books or CDs per card. This policy will remain until further notice.
Everyone at the library is looking forward to seeing you back in the library with us! You are encouraged to use a face mask and hand sanitizer will be available for your protection as well.
Thank you for your help and understanding!
