Summer Reading Program Wk 2: Officer Zack Mazey of the Clyde Police Department
This week, the summer reading program continued “Every Hero Has a Story” with visits on both Wednesday and Thursday by Officer Zack Mazey of the Clyde Police Department. Office Mazey talked to the children about gun safety, and then explained what a police officer’s job involves. He also brought his crime scene kit, a belt with all its tools, vests, raingear, handcuffs and manacles for the children to examine. He explained what each item was for and how it worked. Staff, volunteers, parents and children had a wonderful time and learned a lot.
